Not really, Digital Paper DPT-S1 was just "flexible". Though there have been POC demos posted of screens that might make it doable going back to 2016. LG showed a big screen at CES 2019. Most R&D seems to be aimed at larger TV screens though LG announced a phone for 2021.

Instead of hoping for a miracle we need to sort how to live this never going away. Then we can deal with how ever long it takes. Even if a miracle happens soon we are ready for the next out break and can even deal with seasonal sickness better. Win win.

Should be asking why should I ever go back? Driving somewhere to sit at a computer and or phone all day is just stupid. It is wasteful for both the employee and the company and makes the life of those that need to commute that much harder. Not to mention bad for the planet.

Why? Seriously most teams these days at large companies are spread across locations even if required to come in. It is crazy to have to be face to face these days. I pair program with others all the time via Skype. Meet via Skype or Zoom. Been WFH last 7 years + of/on >20 before.
— David Abigt (@deabigt) July 28, 2020
Bottom line some people can't WFH but I can see companies preferring those that can going forward. And it should definitely be available for all that can.
— David Abigt (@deabigt) July 28, 2020
Sad to think domestic abuse is that large of a problem at your company. Again though helping get those people out of the domestic abuse situation would seem better than just giving them an office to escape to for a few hours a day.

I would think most mental health issues would be better handled at home. While getting the company to kick back some of their savings to their employees would be nice (actually had that on one job) I would think most will think WFH benefits out weigh the tiny added electric cost.
